Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving Carvin Software, LLC (“Carvin Software”). On March 9, 2023, Carvin Software detected unusual activity on its internal network, indicating a data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, Carvin Software determined confirmed that cybercriminals gained access to its systems and copied certain files from its network without authorization between February 22, 2023, and March 9, 2023. Following further review, Carvin Software confirmed that the copied files contained the sensitive personal information of at least 187,360 individuals. As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud. Murphy Law Firm is evaluating legal options, including a potential class action lawsuit, to recover damages for individuals who were affected by the data breach.
