Forever 21

Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving Forever 21. On March 20, 2023, Forever 21 detected unusual activity on its internal network that impacted a number of systems, indicating a data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, Forever 21 confirmed that cybercriminals gained access to its network and accessed certain Forever 21 systems between January 5, 2023 and March 21, 2023. Forever 21 further determined that unauthorized cybercriminals accessed or obtained certain files from Forever 21 systems during that time, including files that contained the sensitive personal information of 539,207 individuals. The personal information accessible to cybercriminals, includes:

  • Names
  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers
  • Bank account information
  • Health plan information

As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.

Murphy Law Firm is evaluating legal options, including a potential class action lawsuit, to recover damages for individuals who were affected by the data breach.
