Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach at Logan Health Medical Center (“Logan Health”). On November 22, 2021, Logan Health became aware of suspicious activity on its network, including evidence of unauthorized access to one of its file servers. Following a forensic investigation, Logan Health determined that cybercriminals had infiltrated its network and gained unauthorized access to certain confidential files, which contained protected health information and other personal information relating to patients, employees, and business associates. Despite discovering the data breach in November 2021, Logan Health did not begin notifying victims of the breach until February 22, 2022. As a result of the Logan Health data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly sensitive information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
