Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach at MCG Health, LLC (“MCG Health”). MCG Health is a vendor for 2,600 hospitals and provides care strategies, consulting, analytics, and other services. On March 25, 2022, MCG Health determined that cybercriminals had gained unauthorized access to its systems and acquired confidential and personal information about patients whose information was stored on MCG Health’s systems. Following a forensic investigation, MCG Health determined that cybercriminals accessed and acquired the personal identifiable information of approximately 1,100,000 patients and members during the data breach. The personal information acquired by cybercriminals includes:
Names
Social Security numbers
Dates of birth
Telephone numbers
Email addresses
Medical information
Addresses
As a result of the MCG Health’s data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly sensitive information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
Murphy Law Firm is evaluating legal options, including a potential class action lawsuit, to recover damages for individuals who were affected by the data breach.
