Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving Managed Care of North America, Inc. (“MCNA”). On March 6, 2023, MCNA detected unusual activity on its internal network, indicating a data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, MCNA confirmed that unauthorized cybercriminals were able to access certain systems and remove copies of files between February 26, 2023 and March 7, 2023. MCNA further determined that the files accessed and removed by unauthorized cybercriminals contained the personal information of at least 8,923,662 individuals. As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
