Refuah Health Center

Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach at Refuah Health Center. On March 2, 2022, Refuah Health Center discovered that unauthorized cybercriminals had infiltrated its network and gained unauthorized access to certain confidential files. Following a forensic investigation, Refuah Health Center determined that cybercriminals potentially accessed and exfiltrated the personal identifiable information of 260,740 patients between May 31, 2021 and June 1, 2021. According to Refuah Health Center, the personal information exposed in the breach included:

  • Names
  • Dates of Birth
  • Social Security numbers
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Bank and financial account information
  • Medical diagnosis/treatment information
  • Health insurance information

As a result of the Refuah Health Center’s data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly sensitive information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud. Murphy Law Firm is evaluating legal options, including a potential class action lawsuit, to recover damages for individuals who were affected by the data breach.
