Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach at Yuma Regional Medical Center (“YRMC”). On April 25, 2022, YRMC experienced suspicious activity on its systems. Following a forensic investigation, YRMC determined that cybercriminals had gained unauthorized access to its systems between April 21, 2022 and April 25, 2022. Based on the investigation, YRMC confirmed that cybercriminals accessed and stole confidential files containing the personal information of 737,448 patients. As a result of the YRMC’s data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly sensitive information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
Murphy Law Firm is evaluating legal options, including a potential class action lawsuit, to recover damages for individuals who were affected by the data breach.
