PharMerica

Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving PharMerica. On or around March 14, 2023, PharMerica became aware of suspicious activity on its computer network, indicating a data breach. Based on a third-party forensic investigation, PharMerica confirmed that unauthorized cybercriminals infiltrated its inadequately secured network and gained access to its systems. PharMerica further determined that the systems accessed by cybercriminals included the personal information of at least 5,815,591 individuals. The personal information exposed in the data breach, includes:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Patient information
  • Dates of birth
  • Health insurance information
  • Addresses

As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.

Murphy Law Firm is evaluating legal options, including a potential class action lawsuit, to recover damages for individuals who were affected by the data breach.
