Receivables Performance Management

Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving Receivables Performance Management (“RPM”). On or about May 12, 2021, RPM became aware of a data security incident that impacted its server infrastructure, indicating a likely data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, RPM confirmed that cybercriminals had infiltrated its systems and gained unauthorized access to certain files, including files containing personal information. According to RPM, cybercriminals accessed or copied the personal information of 3,766,573 individuals. The personal information exposed in the data breach includes:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Other sensitive information

As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly sensitive information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud. Murphy Law Firm is evaluating legal options, including a potential class action lawsuit, to recover damages for individuals who were affected by the data breach.
